MRMS is a system equipped with fully automated algorithms, which can rapidly and intelligently fuse data streams from multiple radars, ground-based and upper-air observations, lightning detection systems, satellite observations and forecast models. The radar observation data stored in this folder was collected by the MRMS system over the continental United States, with a spatial coverage of 20°N – 55°N and 130°W – 60°W. The composite product has a spatial grid size of 3500 × 7000, with a spatial resolution of 0.01° per grid. The measurement unit is mm/hr, and the temporal resolution is 2 minutes.
