Peter Farmer competed in many triathlon races and by 1985 he’d completed 30 triathlons, with placings within the top 20 for the majority of events.
Highlights from his triathlon career include:
• 1984 Ironman – 260th place (1036 started the race)
• 1985 Ironman – 113th place (1018 started the race)
For the 1986 Ironman held in Japan, Peter Farmer helped to secure travel sponsorship from JAL – Japanese Airlines, for 8 Victorian athletes.
Peter Farmer lived in Melbourne and worked as an engineer. Peter’s wife Judy designed a line of triathlon sports clothing under the label ‘Fancy Pants.’ Pictures of Fancy Pants clothing can be seen in the Peter Farmer Image Gallery.
This collection comprises of event advertisements, information and races results from the 1980s.
