The dataset contains a part of the experimental run data collected in laboratory studies by a series of tests using a magnetic stirring device. This is the first part of that multilayered experiment. In this part of the experiment, the settling dynamics of oil mineral aggregates (OMA) were assessed by quantifying several factors such as floc size, porosity, density and the settling velocity of each droplet using an instrument called LabSFLOC-2, which consists of a digital video microscope and processing package. This dataset contains laboratory photos, oil-mineral floc video, flow turbulence, and floc properties data. These data are used to study the formation of OMA and their settling dynamics as well as OMA floc size distribution (settling velocity vs. floc size, and density).
