资源简介:
This article presents a cross-linguistic analysis of behavior verbs in English and Uzbek, focusing on their structural, semantic, and translational characteristics. The study aims to identify similarities and differences in how behavioral actions are encoded and expressed in the two languages, as well as to examine the challenges that arise in the process of translation. By analyzing a representative set of verbs denoting human behavior, the research explores their morphological formation, semantic nuances, and contextual usage. Particular attention is given to the role of cultural and pragmatic factors in shaping meaning and influencing translation choices. The findings reveal that while some behavior verbs have direct equivalents, many exhibit partial correspondence or require descriptive translation strategies due to differences in lexicalization patterns and conceptual frameworks. The study also highlights the importance of context-sensitive approaches in achieving semantic adequacy and pragmatic equivalence. Overall, the research contributes to a deeper understanding of cross-linguistic variation and offers practical insights for translators and language learners working between English and Uzbek.
