This dataset is the List of Wetlands of International Importance in China. It introduces the wetlands of international importance in China, including the first 7 wetlands inscribed on the List of Wetlands of International Importance: Zhalong National Nature Reserve in Heilongjiang Province, Bird Island National Nature Reserve in Qinghai Province, Dongzhaigang Mangrove National Nature Reserve in Hainan Province, Mai Po Wetlands in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Poyang Lake National Nature Reserve in Jiangxi Province, East Dongting Lake National Nature Reserve in Hunan Province, and Xianghai National Nature Reserve in Jilin Province. It provides basic data and scientific and technological support for wetland surveys and research in China.
