The dataset presented here corresponds to the experimental data reported in the manuscript "7.3 W tunable femtosecond infrared optical parametric oscillator at 200 MHz repetition rate" to be published in Optics Express. The abstract of article is described below: We present a high-power tunable femtosecond infrared (IR) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on MgO-doped periodically poled lithium niobate (MgO:PPLN) crystal, synchronously pumped by a 1037-nm Yb-fiber amplifier at the repetition rate of 200 MHz. It simultaneously generates femtosecond pulses in two output beams: up to 5.55 W of signal power at 1499 nm tunable from 1374 to 1499 nm in the near-infrared (near-IR) and 1.75 W of idler power at 3397 nm from 3397 to 4333 nm in the mid-infrared (mid-IR). Under a pump power of 16.33 W, the OPO exhibits a maximum average power of 7.30 W, corresponding to an overall conversion efficiency of 44.7%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest output power from the reported femtosecond OPOs. Without compensating for intracavity dispersion, a signal pulse duration as short as 193 fs is obtained at a central wavelength of 1499 nm.
