CAA and NRC attention diversion attempt from unemployment and price rise India 2019

According to a survey conducted in December 2019, a majority of respondents from India believed that the recent government policies such as the Citizenship Amendment Act and the proposed all-India National Register of Citizens were attempts made by the Narendra Modi government to divert attention from serious economic issues like unemployment and price rise. On the contrary, only about 32 percent of the respondents believed that this was not true.
