资源简介:
This dataset describes meteorological data measured from surface from buoys on Gulf Ecosystem Obervatory moorings in the Northern gulf of Alaska. Measurements include barometric pressure, Relative humidity, air temperature, dewpoint, wind speed and direction, as well as photosynthetically active radiation and chlorophyll-a concnetration. Data are presented as csv files, with one annual file from each met station. In 2019 there were two met stations deployed, one each on the buoys from the GEO1 and GEO3 moorings. Beginning in 2020, only the GEO3 buoy and met station were deployed. These data are part of the Northern Gulf of Alaska Long Term Ecological Research (NGA LTER) program. The LTER program is a National Science Foundation–funded network of 28 sites nationwide that focus on the influence of long-term and large-scale phenomenon on ecosystems. Additional funding for sampling is provided by the North Pacific Research Board (NPRB), the Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS), and the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council (EVOS) via the Gulf Watch Alaska program.
