In this study, we provide a comprehensive analysis of the microbial composition within the intricately structured digestive tract of Pachnoda marginata through the study of 16S rRNA gene and ITS2 fragment amplicons and its metagenome. Furthermore, we demonstrate the versatile biotechnological capabilities of its microbiome, which includes cellulose degradation, biogas production, and sulfate reduction, all rolled into one.
