资源简介:
This is the dataset used in the Water-energy nexus in African power pools – The Dispa-SET Africa model paper
Abstract
This dataset was used within the new modelling framework for analysing the water-energy nexus in the African Power Pools. The proposed modeling framework includes soft-linking between two models: the LISFLOOD model, used to generate hydrological inputs, and the Dispa-SET model, used for mid-term hydrothermal coordination and optimal unit commitment and power dispatch over the whole African continent and over 39 hydrological years. The results show a good agreement between the model outputs and the historical values, despite data-related limitations.
Dataset
This dataset is structured as follows:
Units
PowerPlants: A comprehensive list of African power plants (in total ~2200) on per country level as they were in 2018. A detailed set of commitment parameters (minimum on and off times, start-up and shut-down time, ramping rates, etc.) and dispatch costs (ramping costs, start-up shut-down costs, etc.)
Time-series
AvailabilityFactors - VRES availability over 39 hydrological years (wind, solar-pv, run-of-river).
DayAheadNTC - Net transfer capacity between neighboring countries (historical from 2018 and projected for 2025)
FuelPrices - Variable fuel prices on per country level based on resource availability and geographic location
HydroData/ScaledInflows - River discharge rate expressed in terms of installed hydro dam capacity over 39 hydrological years.
OutageFactors - Modelled powerplant outages
TotalLoadValue - Power Demand (hourly power curves)
