Teachers belong to the group of professional voice users. The demands on vocal performance are correspondingly high. Since teachers are rarely prepared for their voice-intensive profession, the prevalence of voice disorders is particularly high in this professional group. In order to improve the training conditions for student teachers, the possibility of a digitally supported voice screening examination and the comparison of two multi-parametric methods are presented in this article: the procedure, the collected parameters and the results of a sample of about 200 students at the University of Regensburg, Germany. The conclusion is an outlook on the development of an app for voice hygiene and prophylaxis for people in teaching professions.
