Shared Dataset for "Davies et al. Dietary selectivity mediates niche overlap and interspecific competition in a reedbed warbler community in southern Europe"

This dataset is from the peer-reviewed publication "Dietary selectivity mediates niche overlap and interspecific competition in a reedbed warbler community in southern Europe". The contents of this dataset comprise sequence data from paired end Illumina reads SD-CO1-3-290519_S3_L001_R1_001.fastq.gz and SD-CO1-3-290519_S3_L001_R2_001.fastq.gz included as separate files obtained from High-Throughput Sequencing of European Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus), Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus) and Cetti’s Warbler (Cettia cetti) faecal samples, following extraction and amplification with Mid-tagged invertebrate COI primers. Oligo and Fasta files used in the bioinformatics steps are also included. Please see the Supplementary Materials included with the main publication for the full pipeline. Sample metadata (Sample Metadata.xlsx) has been provided for all samples which were included in statistical analyses. Metadata includes location information, date of sample collection and information about birds providing the sample. Datasets used in analysis are also available as .csv files alongside an R script for all analyses outlined in the main manuscript of the publication.
