This repository contains the catalogues used for the low-spin analysis in the paper "Assembling GW231123 in star clusters through the combination of stellar binary evolution and hierarchical mergers". Each catalogue contains the binary black hole (BBH) mergers sample for a specific cluster type (young, globular or nuclear) and metallicity (Z =0.02, Z = 0.002, Z =0.0002)The different columns refer to (see also the header): the mass of the primary black hole (BH) in solar masses; the mass of the secondary BH in solar masses; the mass of the remnant BH in solar masses; the dimensionless spin of the primary BH; the dimensionless spin of the secondary BH; the effective spin of the binary; the delay time of the merger in years; the number of generation (Ngen) of the primary; the origin of the BBH merger. The latter can assume 4 different values: "Stellar (single)": refers to a single merger (Ngen = 0) in which both BHs masses are below the maximum mass produced by single stellar evolution at that metallicity; "Stellar (mixed)": refers to a single merger (Ngen = 0) in which at least one BH has a mass above the maximum mass produced by single stellar evolution at that metallicity, i.e. produced in stellar binaries via stellar mergers or accretion processes. In the paper these are mentioned as BSE mergers; "Hierarchical (single)": refers to a merger in which the primary has already underwent previous mergers (Ngen > 0). In addition, all BHs leading to the merger had masses below the maximum mass produced by single stellar evolution at that metallicity. In the paper these are mentioned as MC mergers; "Hierarchical (mixed): as "Hierarchical (single)" but at least one BH in the mergers chain was sampled above the maximum mass produced by single stellar evolution at that metallicity. In the paper these are refered as H mergers;
