The goal of this cell culture experiment was to validate in vivo data showing adipocyte p53-dependent changes of the immune cell landscape of visceral adipose tissue in obese mice that are interemittently fasted. Overall design: Therefore, human SGBS preadipocytes were differentiated into mature adipocytes before TP53 was knocked down via siRNA transfection. twentyfour hours before harvest, the cells were switched to starvation medium (HBSS+HEPES). Control cells were transfected with non-targeting siRNA and also starved. Each group contains triplicate measurements.
