资源简介:
This was a time course study to look at the effect under-ground weed-generated signals have on the transcriptome of corn. Corn was grown under greenhouse conditions in a pot surrounded by 4 winter canola plants as the weed. These were grown inside conetainers to prevent direct root-to-root contact between the 2 species. Additionally, an above-ground opaque plastic cone prevented any weed-generated light quality signals from impacting the corn. When the corn was 4 weeks old, the conetainers were removes from half of the plants allowing direct root-to-root contact. Root tissue was harvested at 0, 1, 2, 3, 7 and 14 days from both treated and mock-treated corn.
