This is a collection of materials at the AFI Research Collection relating to animated films and television. This style of moving image has long been used to produce a wide variety of films and television shows, from children's and family viewing, to science fiction and experimental cinema. The Animation Collection looks at how different countries and producers have used animation to produce films and television, as well as items about how to produce animation. The collection contains over 100 items including clippings files, books, journal articles, journals, stills, and ephemera.
