资源简介:
The Drift Principle glossary is a reference document that compiles a set of analytical terms used to describe recurring patterns observed in digitally mediated environments. It brings together concepts such as Synthetic Realness, Optimization Trap, Filter Fatigue, Semantic Drift, and Reality Drift, which correspond to commonly reported experiences associated with curation, optimization, mediation, and perceived instability in contemporary life. The glossary presents these terms as descriptive tools rather than explanatory claims. The concepts are used to help organize patterns in how authenticity, effort, meaning, and coherence are interpreted under conditions of large-scale mediation, without asserting causal explanations or normative judgments. In addition to definitions, the document includes a set of visual diagrams intended to support comparative and structural reference. These diagrams—such as the Cognitive Drift Cycle, Reality Drift Spectrum, Synthetic Realness framework, Optimization Trap model, and Great Flattening—illustrate relationships between mediation, optimization, perception, and meaning in schematic form. The glossary is provided as part of a broader working-paper archive and is intended for reference, analysis, and reuse in discussions of culture, technology, and symbolic systems. The materials are presented as an exploratory vocabulary set for examining how descriptive language is applied to mediated experience, rather than as a comprehensive or prescriptive framework.
