Figure 370 from Chapter 15 (Cytoplasmic Inclusions) of 'The Cell, 2nd Ed.' by Don W. Fawcett M.D. Ectoderm cell from a blastula of Rana pipiens. This cell shows a number of yolk platelets, lipid droplets and many small pigment granules. The higher magnification inset panel shows a lattice pattern in one of the yolk crystals. Image by S.J.
