Impact of ocean acidification on intertidal bacterial biofilm communities.

In this study, we investigated the composition and diversity of bacterial biofilm communities on intertidal rock along a natural gradient in seawater pH off Shikine Island, Japan. The study focused on identifying the bacterial taxa, and overall community characteristics, that may be most sensitive to ocean acidification in the context of intertidal biofilms.
