we introduce a lake-oriented catchment delineation method based on the latest Forest and Buildings removed Copernicus DEM(FABDEM). This method encompasses four steps: lowering of water pixel elevation, calculation of flow direction, delineation of lake catchment, and delineation of whole catchment. Furthermore, this approach facilitates the differentiation of lake types and the identification of hydrological connectivity pathways between lakes. Compared to other studies, our method takes into account the complex terrain of endorheic zones and offers more precise results in data processing and catchment area delineation. Utilizing 2018 data for lakes larger than 1 km² on the Qiangtang Plateau (QP), we delineated 1003 lake catchments. Following the analysis of hydrological connectivity, 518 whole catchments were identified, of which 345 had no upstream lake.
