Genome sequencing of Janthinobacterium isolated from Atlantic Salmon

In this project genomes of Janthinobacterium isolated from systems with Atlantic salmon fry (Salmo salar) have been sequenced. This genus is interesting due to it secondary metabolites, including violacein, and their antagonistic properties towards several bacteria and fungi. The aim of this project is to characterize these bacteria and their ability to colonize Atlantic salmon eggs and fry.
