Galactose metabolism primarily occurs within liver tissue, yet the specific impact of dietary galactose on liver tissue in vivo remains to be clearly elucidated. In this study, we report that dietary galactose significantly inhibits the mTORC1 signaling pathway and enhances the hepatic production of Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 1 (IGFBP1) in vivo.
