Railway

A single line representation of each track in the Region of Peel's railway network, including mainlines, crossovers, branch lines, yards, siding, spurs, and abandoned track. This dataset includes the Union-Pearson Express line. This data was modified to use the same attributes as the Peel data and some data, such as track use, owner, and operator were transferred over to enrich the dataset as a whole. The tracks are divided into the following categories: Main - multi-track lines with heavy passenger and/or freight traffic. Crossover - Used to switch between tracks on a mainline. Branch - connect main lines, usually single tracked, lower quality, and lower speed limits. Siding - short length of track running parallel to the main/branch track that is used for passing or short/long term storage. Spurs - short lengths of track used by companies for access to the rail network. Yard - trackage operated by railway companies to marshal and store trains and cars. Light Rail - transit trackage that is on road or in its own right of way. This also includes the Pearson LINK Train, a cable car. Construction - tracks that are currently under construction. These are less accurate representations than active tracks and should be used with care. Disused - trackage that still physically exists but does not appear to be used for any type of service. Abandoned - physical tracks have been removed and therefore cannot be used at all (these were digitized for historical purposes).本数据集以单线形式呈现皮尔区（Region of Peel）铁路网内的每条轨道，涵盖干线、道岔、支线、调车场、侧线、专用线及废弃轨道。本数据集包含联合皮尔逊快线（Union-Pearson Express）线路。该数据集已完成适配调整，采用与皮尔区轨道数据一致的属性字段，并补充了轨道用途、所有权方、运营方等信息，以整体丰富数据集内容。轨道分为以下类别： Main（干线）：多线轨道，承担繁忙的客运和/或货运交通任务； Crossover（道岔）：用于干线轨道间切换的线路； Branch（支线）：连接干线的轨道，通常为单线设计，技术标准较低且限速严格； Siding（侧线）：与干线/支线平行的短轨，用于列车会车或长短期停放； Spurs（专用线）：企业用于接入铁路网络的短轨线路； Yard（调车场）：铁路公司用于编组、停放列车与车辆的轨道区域； Light Rail（轻轨线路）：铺设于路面或专属路权的通勤轨道，同时包含皮尔逊接驳列车（Pearson LINK Train），该设施为缆车系统； Construction（在建轨道）：当前处于施工阶段的线路，其精度低于运营中轨道，使用时需谨慎； Disused（停用轨道）：实体轨道仍存在但未用于任何运营服务的线路； Abandoned（废弃轨道）：实体轨道已被拆除，完全无法投入使用（此类数据仅为历史记录目的而数字化留存）。
