Regulation of responses of tomato to a generalist or specialist spider mite infestation by ABA

In this work, we studied the transcriptional and metabolic responses of an ABA-deficient tomato genotype and its near isogenic background to infestation with a generalist or a specialist spider mite species. The results revealed a key involvement of this plant hormone in the relative susceptibility to each spider mite.
