Leaf morphology is a key agronomic trait that significantly influences crop yield and stress resistance. Optimizing leaf morphology is crucial for improving cucumber cultivation patterns and enhancing economic returns. In this study, transcriptome sequencing was employed to identify differentially expressed genes in a cucumber mutant characterized by reduced leaf area and pronounced leaf margin serration. The aim is to uncover key genes regulating leaf morphology in cucumber, thereby providing theoretical support and genetic resources for the development of ideal plant architecture in cucumber breeding programs.
