Algal samples were collected from a simulated rice paddy field. Samples were subjected to UV Vis Reflectance reading using Shimadzu UV 2600. The reflectance shows that chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, phycoerythrin, and phycocyanin are the pigments present in the algal samples.
