Fecal microbiome profiles of Hanwoo steers with divergent residual feed intake during the late fattening stage

This study aimed to investigate the fecal microbial composition and diversity of Hanwoo (Korean native cattle) steers with divergent residual feed intake (RFI) during the late fattening stage. Fecal samples were collected and analyzed using next-generation sequencing (NGS) of the 16S rRNA gene to identify microbial taxa associated with feed efficiency.
