Streptomyces sp. AMCC400023 is an emergent plant pathogen that is able to cause potato coomon scab during greenhouse experiments. The genome size is >10Mb. Its genome carries the pathogenicity island(PAI) shared with other pathogenic Streptomyces. Comparative genomic analysis revealed that the conserved PAI was present in Streptomyces sp. AMCC400023, but not in S.bottropensis ATCC25435, suggesting that Streptomyces sp. AMCC400023 emerged as a new plant pathogens.
