Bacillus megaterium is the main model organism among gram-positive bacteria for intensive studies on biochemistry, sporulation, and bacteriophages. It is a common soil bacterium and an endophyte as a potential agent for the biocontrol of plant diseases. The present study will investigate the effect of B. megaterium Y11 collected in Ningxia, China on the tolerance and growth of maize under salt stress conditions.
