Australian Barley Malting Performance-testing 2024 new samples

AEGIC MultiMalter was used to investigate the malting performance of Cyclops and AGT Bunyip IA from the 2024 season. Different malting regimes were tested including a range of germination moisture levels, GA3 concentrations and steep/germination temperature. Our results showed that both the varieties produced excellent malts with relatively high malt extract, low beta-glucan, high DP and high FAN when the samples were malted by using optimal malting regimes.
