We obtained the root transcriptomes of two pea strigolactone (SL) biosynthetic mutants, ramosus5 (rms5) and ramosus1 (rms1), defective in carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase 7 (CCD7) and CCD8, respectively, and their wild-type genotype cv. Terese. By analyzing differentially expressed genes, we uncover biological processes involving these two enzymes in relation or independently from their role in SL biosynthesis.
