GEONET Total Electron Contents Data, May 22, 2014

This is Total Electron Content (TEC) data derived from dual-frequency GPS signals over Japan on May 22, 2014. The GNSS Earth Observation Network (GEONET), which consists of about 1,300 receivers, was used to create two-dimensional maps of TEC perturbations. The temporal resolution is 30 seconds. A high-pass filter was applied to extract fluctuations with periods shorter than one hour. Detailed methodology is described in the following reference: Saito, A., Fukao, S., & Miyazaki, S. (1998).
