Longitudinal Dataset – HAPA Smoking Cessation Scale (T0–T1) in Head and Neck Cancer Patients

README – Dataset Description This dataset accompanies the manuscript entitled "From Diagnosis to Behavior Change: Predictive Value of the HAPA Model on Smoking Cessation in Head and Neck Cancer Patients."It includes longitudinal data from participants recently diagnosed with head and neck cancer (ORL) who completed a set of self-report questionnaires at baseline (T0) and were followed up one month later (T1) to assess smoking status and dependence. The dataset is provided in Excel format (.xlsx) and is organized as follows: · Columns A to G: Sociodemographic and clinical information – gender, age, marital status, socio-professional status, cancer diagnosis, cancer treatment, and tumor stage. · Columns H to S: Responses to the 12 items of the Cigarette Dependence Scale (CDS) at baseline (T0). · Columns T to AE: Responses to the 12 items of the Thoughts about Smoking Questionnaire (TCQ) at baseline (T0). · Columns AF to BF: Responses to the 27 items of the HAPA-based scale adapted to tobacco use, including risk perception (RP1–RP4), outcome expectancies (OE1–OE4), action self-efficacy (ASE1–ASE4), maintenance self-efficacy (MSE1–MSE4), recovery self-efficacy (RSE1–RSE3), behavioral intention (BI1–BI3), action planning (AP1–AP2), and coping planning (CP1–CP3). · Column BG: Smoking cessation status at one-month follow-up (T1) – binary outcome (0 = still smoking, 1 = abstinent). · Columns BH to BS: Responses to the 12 items of the Cigarette Dependence Scale (CDS) at T1. A codebook describing the coding of categorical variables, item labels, and response formats is provided in the second sheet of the Excel file.
