Cat and fox eradication / Hunter Wetlands Centre / Fence safe haven - Stage 1

The project will create a 42 hectare cat and fox free safe haven by: (1) Erecting 250m of cat and fox free fencing along the property boundary along Ironbark Creek (Stage 1, first half); (2) Upgrading 1.5km of existing fence to a cat-proof standard (first half); (3) Auditing existing fence and fixing holes and gaps; (4) Surveying cats and foxes with camera traps and spotlighting; (5) Trapping and baiting foxes and cats (if Curiosity baits approved for cats on site); (6) Trimming/removing vegetation overhanging and adjacent to fence to prevent climbing; (7) Enabling Indigenous knowledge transfer to Participants; and (8) Engaging community members through guided tours of the Project.
