Dataset for: An objective, metrics-based ranking of U.S. dermatology residency programs in 2024

Per-program academic metrics for U.S. dermatology residency programs in the 2024 ERAS cycle. For each program the dataset reports full-time faculty count, total 2024 NIH dermatology funding (NIH RePORTER), 2024 PubMed-indexed faculty publications, and faculty lectures at the 2024 AAD, SID, ASD, and SPD meetings. It includes each metric rescaled to a 0–1 range, a weighted academic composite score and rank (NIH, publications, and lectures weighted 1.0; faculty count 0.5), and a per-faculty (per-capita) score and rank. Programs missing any core metric were excluded from the analyzed cohort. Data were collected March–May 2025 from publicly available sources. Note: Doximity prestige rankings used in the associated paper's comparison analysis are not included here, as that data is proprietary. This dataset supports the manuscript "An Objective, Metrics-Based Ranking of U.S. Dermatology Residency Programs in 2024" (under review, Archives of Dermatological Research).
