Türkiye 62 Sector Input-Output Table Series, 2016-2025

This dataset provides a comprehensive and macroeconomically consistent 10-year annual time series of 62-sector Input-Output (I-O) tables for the Turkish economy covering the period from 2016 to 2025, specifically designed to support advanced structural analysis and multi-sectoral economic modeling. The continuous time series was estimated by utilizing the official 2012 and 2023 benchmark Input-Output tables published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) as foundational base structures, with the interim and subsequent years projected and balanced through the rigorous application of the RAS biproportional matrix balancing technique. A distinguishing analytical feature of this dataset is the high-resolution disaggregation of the aggregate household final consumption expenditure vector into five distinct 20% income quintiles, which was achieved by processing and integrating the microdata from TURKSTAT’s annual Household Budget and Income Distribution Statistics to capture distributional consumption behavior across different socio-economic strata. To guarantee utmost reliability, the entire matrix series has been strictly calibrated against official TURKSTAT National Accounts data, maintaining a margin of error well below 0.5% across all production and expenditure components, thereby ensuring precise macroeconomic alignment and rendering the dataset ideally suited for Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modeling, socio-economic impact assessments, and income distribution policy simulations.
