This data is supplementary information for the study entitled "Cost-effective micro-CT system for non-destructive testing of titanium 3D printed medical components". A series of image phantoms were imaged using our proposed low-cost portable bench-top CT scanner. This scanner uses a lens-coupled detector system in a front-lid configuration. Each phantom was designed to test specific image characteristics of the system for the task of non-destructive testing of metal 3D printed parts. Images were acquired between July and August of 2021 at the Robarts Research Institute, which is associated with Western University in London, Ontario, ON, Canada.
