Soil communites in Australian tropical rainforest

The high diversity of mature rainforest communities has been linked to non-random patterns of seedling mortality. Whilst many studies have highlighted the importance of microbial phytopathogens non-random seedling mortality, the microbial communities themselves are often an unobserved quantity.The major aim of this study was to search for community-level trends that implicate bacteria, fungi in seedling mortality.
