This dataset comprises a sub-dataset which was downloaded from the GEOROC (Geochemistry of Rocks of the Oceans and Continents) database website in June 2021, together with one additional folder, and one additional file. GEOROC provides downloadable precompiled files organised in folders which correspond to locations, mainly reflecting different tectonic settings (but for the folder containing inclusion data). The GEOROC database has been relocated in between, and is currently available here: GEOROC homepage . Please use the GEOROC database to have access to the most updated data from GEOROC. The dataset uploaded in this dataverse has been updated since then. The current version of the dataset is needed for reproducibility purpose of results that were produced using this version of the data. The dataset is structured into one main folder, which contains 12 subfolders downloaded from GEOROC, one folder named ManualDataset which is not part of the GEOROC precompiled data, and one separate .csv file, for a total of 484 files. For details on the files within ManualDataset, see Manual Input for Rinjani (Samalas) volcano, Indonesia , Manual Input for Fuji Volcano, Japan , Manual Input for Merapi volcano, Indonesia. The separate file GEOROCaroundGVP.csv contains a list of GEOROC locations, which have been identified as geographically close to volcanoes from the Volcanoes of the World (VOTW) of the Smithsonian’s Global Volcanism Program (GVP).
