Crk and CrkL are adapter proteins in intracellular signaling pathways that control cell-cell interactions and cell adhesion, affecting cell growth and motility. Previous study (DOI: 10.26508) reported that Crk/CrkL knockout in mouse embryos caused a variety of abnormalities in organogenesis. In mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs), Crk/CrkL knockout induced abnormal cell morphology and reduced cell size. In this study, we aimed to clarify the function of Crk/CrkL in epigenetics and gene regulation. We searched for small molecule inhibitors that induce cell phenotypes similar to Crk/CrkL deficiency. We performed H3K27ac ChIP sequencing and RNA sequencing to validate the drug effects.
