资源简介:

In the first half of the 20th century, Cleveland was a streetcar city. 38 streetcar lines connected the city and fledgling suburbs, North, South, East and West. While the streetcars are gone, these corridors remain, and with it the skeleton to build a national model for urban infill & brownfield development centered around equitable, low-carbon (or carbon-free) transportation. Since the 1950s, auto-oriented uses have replaced many homes and businesses along Cleveland's transit corridors. These include gas stations, parking lots, car sale lots, drive-through retail and restaurants, and auto repair garages. These uses are necessary and will continue to be a part of our urban fabric, but they have come to dominiate streetscapes while human-scale buildings and spaces have emptied out and been demolished. This application uses the following dataset(s): Transit Oriented Development Zone GCRTA Transit Census 2020 Analysis
