Archaeobotanical Results from the UmWeltWandel Project

This datafile contains the full results of carpological and anthracological analyses conducted by the UmWeltWandel Project. The material included in this study includes samples collected from a variety of sites and geoarchaeological sections located in the vicinity of the modern village of Al-Khashbah located in Ash-Sharqiyah North Province of the Sultanate of Oman. A majority of the data comes from several archaeological sites in the vicinity, excavated by separate projects under the framework of the German Archaeological Mission to Al-Khashbah, including: the Neolithic (c. 6000-4000 BCE) site of KHS-A, two Early Bronze Age (c. 3300-2000 BCE) Age sites in the Al-Khashbah complex, and four Late Islamic Period (19th-early 20th century BCE) sites located in the surrounding landscape.
