1Métis and general population cohorts were limited to persons aged 20+, alive, living in Ontario and eligible for health insurance.2Neighbourhood income was calculated by Statistics Canada. Canadian neighbourhoods are classified into one of five approximately equal-sized groups (quintiles), ranked from poorest (quintile1) to wealthiest (quintile 5).3Based on the Statistics Canada definition of rurality, where Census Metropolitan Areas that have a population less than 10,000 are considered to be rural.
