Chromosome-level Assembly of Helichrysum odoratissimum

Chromosome-level genome assembly of Helichrysum odoratissimum, a medicinal plant from Southern Africa Helichrysum odoratissimum is a culturally and medicinally important plant species native to Southern Africa, valued for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. We generated a high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly. DNA was extracted from leaf tissue and sequenced using ONT, with Hi-C (DNBSEQ) proximity ligation data used for chromosome-scale scaffolding. Use of this data is subject to applicable access and benefit-sharing legislation of South Africa. Commercial applications may require prior regulatory approval and the establishment of appropriate benefit-sharing arrangements.
