Dataset on the drivers of throughfall beneath isolated black pine trees (Pinus nigra Arnold) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Sopron, Hungary (2023-2024).

The data were used to investigate the drivers of throughfall beneath isolated black pine trees (Pinus nigra Arnold) located in diverse urban settings. The measurements were conducted in two experimental sites in the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Sopron, Hungary, between September 2023 and September 2024. The analyzed variables (meteorological and canopy-related) for the selected rainfall events in both sites over the study period include rainfall amount (RA), intensity (I), duration (D), relative humidity (RH), wind speed (WS), air temperature at the start of the rainfall events (Ts), average air temperature (Ta), and leaf area index (LAI).
