NRS-20745 | Quarterly School Returns [St Marys Public School]

Quarterly School Returns were compiled incrementally (weekly) during each quarter of the school year (March, June, September, December). They provided summary information about a school for the Inspector under whose jurisdiction the school was placed and were compiled in duplicate with one copy sent to the Inspector and the other remaining at the school. The information collected included the number of children attending each week, their religion and gender, the amount of school fees collected, whether attendance is consistent with the school's classification, the names of staff members, the size of the school rooms, whether or not a house is provided for the teacher and its size, and a listing of all books, maps and diagrams available in the school.
