Census of Agriculture, 1982: Final State File

<p>This study contains State census data for all farms for 1982 with comparable data for selected items from the 1978 census. Data are presented for all farms and selected data are presented for farms with sales of $10,000 or more. Variables include number of farms; land in farms; major uses of farmland; farm size and irrigation of farmland; tenure and characteristics of the operator; farms by type of organization; selected production expenses; chemicals used; value of machinery and equipment; and sales and income data. Also contains data on inventories of livestock and poultry, as well as crops harvested. Lastly, the collection contains a section recording the effect of area samples on each State's census values for 1978.</p>
