We have isolated a biosurfactant producing yeast, Pseudozyma hubeiensis SY62, which produced abundant amount of mannosylerythoritol lipids (MEL) and selectively produced deacetylated type MEL (MEL-C). In order to determine sequences of the biosurfactant synthetic and the related genes, we attempt to perform whole genome sequencing of SY62, and compare the sequences to those of related species.
