资源简介:
Single pollen and macrofloral samples were collected from Bog 2 for analysis to identify
plants growing in this area. William's Prairie is a meadow complex on the upper Crooked River
drainage approximately 320 acres in size. Years of overgrazing and nearby logging activities have
affected the local vegetation. The decline of hard woods, degradation of beaver habitat, and
reduction of water table are most notable. Formerly, William's Prairie was a wet meadow with two
main channels running in a northerly direction. Pollen and macrofloral analysis were undertaken
to identify previous vegetation in this area.
