C. elegans mRNA-seq of presynaptic and somatic mRNAs. Caenorhabditis elegans strain:N2

Dissociated Adult C. elegans neurons containing fluorescently labeled presynaptic and somatic compartments. Neuron subcompartments were isolated by FACS sorting. RNA sequencing libraries were prepared directly from quality assessed RNA using the SMARTer Stranded Total RNA kit v2-Pico input mammalian, as per manufacturer suggested practices. The resultant sequencing libraries were then submitted for sequencing on the Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform.
